The Copyediting Department serves as an internal resource for writing, editing, proofreading, and overall quality assurance for DWA Healthcare Communications Group. This department seeks to enhance the quality and accuracy of deliverables using efficient and proven quality assurance processes, including the fundamentals of Lean Six Sigma. The Copyediting Department develops, implements, and ensures conformance to DWA editorial policies and standards as well as adherence to AMA style. This department develops and maintains a house style manual as well as brand-specific style sheets. The copyeditors are an integral part of DWA’s internal quality assurance process (PECA) and continually seek ways to improve the quality of this internal process.
