 Information Systems
The Information Systems Services (ISS) Department is the backbone of our Web and database expertise: it is fundamental to nearly every project DWA Healthcare Communications Group executes. The teams in ISS are experts with advanced training in multiple coding platforms and languages, as well as project management expertise. The primary responsibilities of this department extend into:
- Applications Development
- Database Management
- Information Archiving
- Information Privacy
Gathering, storing, and disseminating information on behalf of our clients and partners is managed by the ISS Department.
From the early proposal phase of a project through execution, our team is closely involved as cross-functional experts in assessing technology-related needs and developing appropriate and innovative solutions. We often act as an extension of our clients’ information technology teams, enhancing services that they cannot perform or only partially fulfill in-house.
Applications Development
Our team of applications developers has created hundreds of Web sites and Web services utilizing the latest in development technology, and our deliverables are as intuitive and user-friendly as possible. Applications include:
- Program registration, with the option of personalized “landing pages” for individual registrants
- Logistics reporting, complete with travel information for the meeting services team and external vendors
- Direct access to registration updates for client representatives
- Program request and setup capabilities for client managers and representatives
- Online training videos and presentations
- Archived playbacks of Web conferences
- Web portals, which serve as a conduit of knowledge between the intended audience and expert resources
- Interactive database interfaces, including access to in-depth profiles and query tools
Database Management
Our database management experts oversee our two proprietary and wholly separate customer relationship management (CRM) systems: Program Data Management Tools (PDMT) for Avant Healthcare Marketing, an affiliate of DWA Healthcare Communications Group; and Education Management System (EMS) for CME Enterprise, also an affiliate of DWA Healthcare Communications Group. These databases continually evolve to keep up with changes in the industry and various client needs. It is this customization capability that enables us to analyze data in new and more meaningful ways.
Our team has managed database records for 2000 projects, 500,000 healthcare professionals, and 3000 vendors, including the following services:
- Advanced matching and loading of external target recruiting lists, allowing efficient and accurate storage of large volumes of data
- Data analysis to identify trends for analytics and metrics projects, such as intervention tracking and segmentation by specialty
- Comprehensive queries and reports that accommodate up-to-the-minute information needs for internal teams, clients, and vendors
Information Archiving
Archiving occurs in three primary areas:
- Hard copy archiving, the long-term storage of hard copy items in boxes in the warehouse
- Electronic archiving, the organization and storage of a job’s electronic files to CD
- Samples library, a collection of syllabi and other program materials that is open to the company for use as samples when securing new business
Information Security
Information security is top-of-mind to our teams, and the ISS Department leads the way in compliance as it relates to how information is received, shared, analyzed, and archived. We are in full compliance with industry and government guidelines related to personal information and we abide by strict internal guidelines to ensure client information is protected, in accordance with ACCME and other industry oversight groups.
