Deborah B. Wood
President and CEO

Deborah B. Wood, MFA, is President and Chief Executive Officer of DWA Healthcare Communications Group. Her leadership guides the organization toward success, every day. With more than 15 years of experience in healthcare education and communications, Ms. Wood is highly recognized by peers and industry alike, including earning the ranking of Top 25 Women-Owned Businesses in Indiana. She focuses on setting the direction of the corporation, ensuring that each company exhibits corporate values, delivers on its individual goals, and provides superior consult and services to all customers and audiences.
Ms. Wood strives to create a positive and rewarding work environment in which all employees share the same opportunities to learn and grow professionally and be recognized for their achievements. Her positive management style and business successes are manifested through the company’s 100+ employees and 25+ clients worldwide.
She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Monica Nelson
Chief Financial Officer, DWA Corporate Services
Monica Nelson is Director of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Nelson is a certified public accountant and a member of the Indiana CPA Society. She has several years of accounting experience in public accounting and industry. Monica received her bachelor's degree in Accounting from Indiana University, Bloomington, where she graduated with high distinction.
Leslie Doane
Executive Director, Human Resources and Corporate Compliance
Leslie Doane joined DWA Healthcare Communications Group in 2002, and she has been an integral part of the human resources team ever since, sharing her expertise in development and training. Prior to joining the company, she worked in the private education sector. Ms. Doane has a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University and a Certificate of Human Resource Management from Indianapolis University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. She is certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and IndySHRM.

A Division of DWA Healthcare Communications Group
Bill Brooks is the Chief Operating Officer of DWA Healthcare Communications group as well as Vice President of ServicePoint Solutions, a branded division of DWA Healthcare Communications Group. Mr. Brooks joined DWA in 2000 and shares over 35 years of leadership and management experience. He is certified as a project manager and acquisition professional at the highest level within the Department of Defense and is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Bill has led operations for several complex, highly visible public and private organizations and his project management experience includes large technology, corporate acquisition, and business development projects.
Prior to DWA, Bill was an officer in the United States Air Force and in the private sector led a variety of business units primarily in the commercial printing and insurance industries. He is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute and holds a master's degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Debbie Routh
Director, Multimedia and Design Services Department
Debbie Routh is the Director of the Multimedia and Design Services Department (MMDS). Ms. Routh joined DWA Healthcare Communications Group in March 2005, bringing with her 15 years of account management and business consulting experience. Currently, she manages a staff of creative multimedia and design experts serving both CME activities and non-CME programs. Her department is charged with the responsibility to transform scientific data, advertising language, or educational content into compelling visual deliverables, specializing in high-end presentations and interactive media.
Ms. Routh is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® as well as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Her experience in the industry includes extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical promotional material guidelines and DDMAC submission process, promotional material components and claim requirements, as well as peer to peer marketing strategies. Debbie has logged over 4500 hours leading and directing project tasks and achieving customer objectives; she has also led and served on numerous infrastructure projects to improve the corporations’ standard operating procedures. Debbie earned her bachelor's degree from Indiana University.

Becky Crumley
Senior Executive Director, Project Services
Becky Crumley is Senior Executive Director, Project Services. Ms. Crumley joined DWA Healthcare Communications Group in April 2000, during which time she has served as a Senior Account Manager focusing on the management of both domestic and international medical education programs for various pharmaceutical companies. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ms. Crumley’s most recent role has been to integrate her expertise in interpersonal relationships and strategic planning into our project support, logistical, and fulfillment teams. In this role, she leads the Project Administration and Logistical Services department, which is comprised of 34 team members, who are responsible for developing and implementing their functional project deliverables. She effectively trains and mentors individuals on industry compliance and internal processes and procedures to ensure high quality and accurate implementation. Ms. Crumley hires, recruits, and trains all new team members and serves as the division’s compliance officer, providing consult and guidance relating to compliance guidelines and regulations.
Her previous experience includes working as an account manager for a logistical meeting planning firm focusing on the healthcare industry, providing direction and management for meetings ranging from 25 to 3000 people. Ms. Crumley earned a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Purdue University. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and a Design for Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Robin Eggers
Executive Director, DWA Healthcare Communications Group
Robin Eggers, MBA, is an Executive Director of DWA Healthcare Communications Group. Ms. Eggers currently oversees three areas of the company: Information Systems Services, Research and Analytics, and Event Recruitment Services. Prior to this role, Ms. Eggers managed a team of five Strategic Account Executives who provide strategic direction to clients in physician-to-physician medical marketing activities. Ms. Eggers brings over a decade of direct experience to her role, including four years in marketing at Eli Lilly and Company on the Xigris® Product Team. At Lilly, she led the development of an award-winning global marketing plan, developed a comprehensive brand book, monitored the execution of the product’s global branding, and created training programs to help launch Xigris internationally.
Ms. Eggers earned a BA in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and an MBA from Duke University with a certificate in Health Sector Management. As part of the company’s commitment to operational excellence, Ms. Eggers is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Melanie Ball
Manager of Copyediting Services
Melanie Ball is Manager of Copyediting Services. She joined the Copyediting Services Department in 2000. Ms. Ball oversees an editing team that is responsible for maintaining the consistency, accuracy, and professionalism of all corporate documents and program deliverables. She has helped develop and train staff on editorial policies, established a house editorial style based on AMA guidelines, and developed customized templates for use in a wide variety of programs.
Ms. Ball created the original DWA Manual of Style, a comprehensive in-house style guide, and she has helped create and maintain the DWA Branding Style Guide, which details corporate branding standards. She has developed How-to-Edit guidelines for various deliverables as well as The Editor’s Handbook on how to edit all company documents to assist the training of new editors. She worked with a corporate trainer to develop an in-house Business Writing and Grammar Workshop and helped develop an E-mail Etiquette training seminar for all staff. Ms. Ball has been instrumental in developing the Proofing, Editing, Content, and Accuracy (PECA) process, which is the company’s internal quality assurance and routing process that ensures all deliverables are sent to the appropriate quality assurance checks and approved in a timely manner.

Matthew Ray
Manager of Information Systems Services
Matthew Ray is Manager of Information Systems Services. He has worked in the IT industry for more than one decade providing a range of professional services that leverages Web-based technology to develop custom data extraction and processing applications. Mr. Ray has a keen sense of business process with a focus on automation. He is responsible for management of the data analysis and development team as well as custom software/Web site development. Mr. Ray also has been instrumental in the evolution of the company's project and quality management methodologies through Project Management Institute and Lean Six Sigma trainings. He is certified on many development platforms and methodologies and is considered an expert in such Web-based technologies as PHP, ASP, .NET, SQL, and MySQL.
Jennifer Sargent
Business Process and Quality Assurance Director
Corporate Six Sigma Master Black Belt
Jennifer Sargent brings almost 20 years of experience in project management and leadership to DWA Healthcare Communications Group. As the corporate Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Business Process and Quality Assurance Director, Jennifer is accountable with a high-level corporate impact in three primary areas of responsibility: Six Sigma and Lean management, Project Management methodologies, and corporate compliance. She is highly strategic in facilitating the enterprise-wide business transformation effort to promote quality and build efficiencies in order to accomplish business objectives.
Jennifer joined the company in 2001, serving as Account Manager for various pharmaceutical clients and advanced quickly to Senior Account Manager and Senior Manager of Marketing Services. In her current position, she provides her expertise in the coordination and execution of Project Management methodologies in conjunction with Lean Six Sigma methods across all facets of the organization. Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ball State University.
